Job Description The Joywell Foods Chief of Staff ("CoS") role represents a unique opportunity to be exposed to & operate at the highest levels of business strategy & operations at an exciting, food technology company that ' s growing quickly, is ready to scale & represents an important social mission. As CoS, you ' ll build relationships with senior leaders inside & outside the company & bring the skills you ' ve built to bear on some of our most interesting, high stakes work. This role is responsible for streamlining high-importance projects & leading internal & external initiatives that have very significant impact on the company ' s business objectives. A big part of this role is to give the CEO capacity. You ' re a perfect fit for this role if, over a wide diversity of projects, businesses or clients you ' ve built & honed your skills in structured problem solving, outcome-oriented team execution, attention to detail & executive level communications - all with high analytical capability & rigor. This position will report to the Joywell CEO. Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive execution of action items & top priorities agreed upon by the CEO & the executive team.
  • Drive operational & planning processes to completion in partnership with the executive team & the broader organization, including owning & continuously improving company operating cadence (e.g. executive team meetings, leadership off sites, quarterly OKRs reviews, quarterly board meetings); develop & define key performance indicators, measure progress & provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Support the productivity of leadership meetings by owning the planning, agenda & notes; distill discussions & thoughts from team meetings into action plans; drive collaboration & results.
  • Create structure & focus for broad, ambiguous ideas that the executive team is exploring & bring forth recommendations for action in a timely manner; operate at a tactical, strategic & operational level, handling the oversight of projects that do not neatly fit within the organizational chart or that fall between departments or leadership areas of responsibility but are critical to the success of the Company; proactively identify priorities that require senior leadership focus & will add value to the Company.
  • Develop & ensure that company updates (conference presentations, blog posts, All Hands, etc), external presentations (client pitches, business reviews, board & investor materials) & all executive-driven communications reflect the brand & appropriately meet the highest levels of professionalism.
  • In particular, assist the CEO with communications to investors & to be prepared for board meetings. Professional Experience & Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree such as economics, statistics, math or finance with 5+ years of relevant consumer brand, CPG, food &/or food technology experience, or MBA with 3+ years of direct operating experience.
    • Venture capital growth, investment banking &/or management consulting experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated track record of driving complex projects & results in the face of ambiguity.
    • Analytical, quick learner matched by a willingness to think deeply about complicated problems.
    • Experienced in market research & analysis that informs project selection & build business cases.
    • Demonstrated written & verbal communication & presentation skills; an appreciation for storytelling.
    • Strong capabilities in financial modeling, budget management & analytics; attention to details. Personal Characteristics
      • H ighly organized operator that is a self-starter & motivated by the opportunity to disrupt sugar!
      • Excited about a small, scrappy environment. In other words, strategic, but hands on.
      • High EQ & strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders; able to lead & influence across multiple levels & functions.
      • Comfortable working in time-sensitive & rapidly evolving situations; high tolerance for ambiguity & complexity, while being efficient with limited resources.
      • A strong orientation towards team culture.
      • A strong orientation towards thinking strategically, building processes & storytelling.
      • Creative thinker; willingness to challenge conventional wisdom - including the CEO's thinking!
      • Sense of humbleness with no job being too big or too small to undertake.
