Principal - SaaS/Cloud Computing, Next Generation Sales &
Customer Success (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. -San Francisco,
California): Lead the design and implementation of multiple, long-term
business strategies for clients within the Technology, IT, Software,
Hardware and Cloud Computing sectors in order to achieve superior
profitability, growth and enhancement of organizational capability. Duties
include: create overall business development and sales strategy for
clients within Software / SaaS / Cloud Computing sectors; develop
commercial practices in companies across various software and hardware
verticals; lead client development and business generation initiatives
including proposal writing and identification of opportunities through
client networking, annual client planning and market research;
ascertain and define client need or problem areas; lead and direct multiple
case teams simultaneously, including personnel assignments, research and
analysis, and reports to clients; oversee, direct, and undertake
critical evaluation of analytical work performed by junior professional
staff using advanced economic and financial analysis techniques;
advise and represent consultants and junior professional staff in
career development; and oversee preparation of outputs and present
findings business findings and commendations to senior client
management. Requires a Bachelor's degree in business administration,
business management, computer science, engineering, or a related field
(willing to accept foreign education equivalent, as well as a 3-year
foreign degree) plus six (6) years of experience as a management
consultant, business analyst, or a quantitative analyst, which must include
least four (4) years of experience managing projects at the
intersection of business model innovation and next generation sales in the
Software / SaaS / Cloud Computing sector. Specific skills/other
requirements (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this
section) must possess the following: (i) applying advanced economic and
financial analysis theories such as competitive cost and decision
analysis, capabilities assessment, portfolio review based on financial
reports, and experience and scale curve analysis; (ii) conducting
advanced analysis of scale economies, seasonal effects on financial
forecasts, impact of uncertainties on business outcomes, corporate
financing policies and evaluation of factors that influence a company's
debt capacity; (iii) managing individuals, teams and processes; (iv)
building new commercial practices in the consulting business based on
opportunity identification, market assessment, offering development,
lead generation, community building, and allocation of funding; (v)
building next generation go-to-market/sales capabilities in companies
across various software and hardware verticals, including b2b digital
marketing and selling capabilities; (vi) leading comprehensive business
model transformations to Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for incumbent
software companies in various software verticals, including performing
trend analysis and primary customer behavior/preference discovery work
to identify future demand for SaaS offerings; and (vii) performing
LTV/CAC (lifetime-value / customer acquisition cost) diagnostics across
business units and segments to determine most economical go-to-market
approach and levers to improve long-term health of subscription
businesses. Domestic/international travel based on client/company need. Must
have unrestricted authorization to work in U.S. M-F, 9:00 a.m. to
