Teacher Credential, and Doctorates in Education (PhD) and
Educational Leadership (EdD). The salary and appointment level is
commensurate with experience. Screening of applicants is ongoing
and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies each
year. These are quarterly positions and are for the quarter of

three-quarter sequences). Reappointment, if any, is based solely on
instructional need. Each lecturer must undergo an annual review,
the outcome of which must be positive before a lecturer can be
considered for reappointment. Candidates should be competent to
conduct instruction independently and without supervision, as well
as to supervise and work collaboratively with teaching assistants
assigned to their courses (if any). Lecturers will also receive
training in UC Davis' course management system and are expected to
calculate and enter grades for their students. Specific

consideration. Since courses vary in terms of content and emphasis,
being explicit in your cover letter about your areas of expertise
will help to ensure you are considered to teach in those areas.
