Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California
building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with

Archer’s mission, we’re scaling production of our cutting-edge
eVTOL aircraft, Midnight 1.0, while planning for the
next-generation Midnight 1.1. On the Manufacturing Design
Engineering team, you will develop build plans, assembly tooling
and form boards, work instructions, and provide design feedback for
avionics harnesses across the aircraft. You will also troubleshoot
and resolve discrepant harnesses or routing challenges, partnering
closely with Quality and Design authorities. What You’ll Do:
Provide technical oversight of wiring and avionics manufacturing
activities, from harness design and fabrication to installation,
routing, and electrical testing, ensuring each prototype is flight
and certification ready Collaborate closely with design, quality,
and certification teams to embed manufacturability and regulatory
requirements early in the wiring design process, mitigating risks
before hardware is built Develop and refine the build and assembly
processes, instructions, tooling strategies, and methods tailored
to low-volume, rapidly evolving prototype environments while
ensuring traceability through documentation Serve as subject matter
expert on the shop floor, performing real-time troubleshooting,
root-cause analysis, and corrective actions to maintain wiring
integrity and meet demanding schedules Coordinate with suppliers
and internal stakeholders to confirm cable specs, connectors, and
components align with FAA standards and program milestones Mentor
and guide junior manufacturing engineers and technicians, setting
best practices for wiring processes, harness management, and
quality assurance in a fast-paced, prototype-oriented culture What
You Need: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical
Engineering, or equivalent practical experience 5 years of
experience in aerospace manufacturing, with proven track record in
wire harness design, fabrication, routing, and installation (eVTOL,
rotorcraft, or other experimental programs preferred) Proficiency
in CAD/electrical design tools (e.g., CATIA EHI, NX, Capital or
equivalent), plus familiarity with PLM/MES systems Deep
understanding of DFM principles for electrical systems, especially
harness build and installation in prototype aircraft Ability to
understand model based definition and interpret GD&T callouts
Strong communication, and organizational skills, coupled with a
hands-on approach to solving wiring and integration challenges
Bonus Qualifications: Experience supporting FAA-certified aircraft
programs in a production or certification environment eVTOL

a base pay between $126,700 - $158,400. Actual compensation offered
will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge,
