Job Summary Job Summary Under the general direction of the Senior
Associate Director of Athletics, External Affairs, the Director,
Marketing and Ticket Sales & Strategy serves as the primary brand
steward for UC Davis Athletics, driving strategy that illuminates
the brand and key department initiatives. The position is
responsible for establishing a strong affinity with external
constituents, building and establishing a single unified voice for
all messaging and enhancing customer service capabilities and
performance. Additionally, the position is responsible for
integrating the marketing and ticket office teams into one
collaborative team that works closely together to enhance, generate
and increase revenue, enhance the fan experience, and successfully
promote 25 varsity sport programs. This position currently serves
as a member of the Athletic Director's Unit Manager group. POSITION
INFORMATION Salary Range $66,600/annually - $125,800/annually No.
of Positions 1 Appointment Type Percentage of Time Full-Time, 100%
Shift Hours Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm Location Davis, CA. Union

2023 PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Maneuver and move boxes of promotional materials and other
goods weighing up to 40 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The Smoke and Tobacco Free Environment policy is intended to
provide a healthier, safer, and more productive work and learning
environment for the entire UC community. The University of

owned or leased properties, or facilities operated by UC staff or

- Work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays in conjunction
with ICA and Campus Events. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience in business, sports marketing or related field.
- Five years' experience in business, sports marketing or related
field. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
- Skill to develop, design and implement creative promotional and
advertising strategies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skill.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a large
number of constituents: administrators, staff, students, donors,
alumni and media professionals.
- Strong organizational skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Master's Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination
of education and experience Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities (KSA):
- Knowledge of Intercollegiate Athletics.
- Knowledge of UC Davis, including its achievements, mission,
goals, vision, and objectives.
- Knowledge of campus, state and federal laws pertaining to
marketing and advertising issues and concerns and other related
policies or laws.
- Skill and experience to mentor less experienced staff. SPECIAL
REQUIREMENTS This position is a critical position and subject to a
