Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
practical experience. 2 years of experience with software
development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an
industry setting. Experience developing in Go. Experience with
Linux and Kubernetes development (e.g., Kubernetes Operators).
Experience developing and deploying distributed systems software.
Experience with cloud platforms. Preferred qualifications: Master's
degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. 2

customer-facing Kubernetes cluster service for Google Distributed
Cloud (GDC) air-gapped and building a secure compute infrastructure
for Gemini on GDC. We are also focused on creating centralized and
uniform cluster lifecycle management for GDCV on both VMware and
Bare Metal. As a software engineer on the GDC Compute team, you
will be responsible for constructing a complete end-to-end solution
for cluster lifecycle management for Gemini on GDC connected, GDC
air-gapped (managed Kubernetes service), supporting the product

most critical business problems. The US base salary range for this
full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 bonus equity benefits. Our
salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within
the range, individual pay is determined by work location and
additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and

Responsibilities Contribute to the development of the GDC compute
virtual cluster lifecycle management and deliver cloud
infrastructure services that ensure scalability, reliability, and
supportability for air-gapped customers and Gemini on GDC. Develop
the cloud management APIs as the mid-tier for cluster lifecycle.
Possess knowledge and experiences on kubernetes and Go.
