practical experience. 2 years of experience coding with C++ or 1
year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure,
distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute
technologies, storage or hardware architecture. Preferred
qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or
related technical fields. 2 years of experience with data
structures and algorithms. 1 year of experience with Flume, compute
infrastructure, large-scale data processing, computer vision,
statistics, data visualization, geospatial experience, Spanner,
statistical analysis. Experience developing accessible

power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites.

complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and
intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of
the real world. The US base salary range for this full-time
position is $147,000-$211,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary
ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the
range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional
factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant

Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and
improve software systems for large-scale geospatial data analysis
and quality metric generation, utilizing C++, Flume, Python, SQL.
Apply statistical analysis and computer vision techniques to
extract actionable insights from large-scale datasets, and validate
the effectiveness of new algorithms and data sources. Participate
in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide
amongst available technologies. Write product or system development
code. Review code developed by other developers and provide
feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking
code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency). Contribute to
existing documentation or educational content and adapt content
based on product/program updates and user feedback. Triage product
or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources
of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service
operations and quality.
