Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
practical experience. 8 years of experience in software
development. 3 years of experience with developing large-scale
infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with
compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture. 3 years of
experience in a technical leadership role. 2 years of experience in
a people management or team leadership role. Preferred
qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a
related technical field. 3 years of experience working in a
complex, matrixed organization. Experience with storage migration.

Software Engineering Managers have not only the technical expertise
to take on and provide technical leadership to major projects, but

manager, you guide the way. With technical and leadership
expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and
locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of
large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally. Health

Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing
software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile,
applications), as well as our first party devices and services that
combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across
this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make
our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless,
building innovative experiences for our users around the world. The
US base salary range for this full-time position is
$207,000-$300,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are
determined by role, level, and location. Within the range,
individual pay is determined by work location and additional
factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant
education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the

Responsibilities Establish and execute the long-term strategic
roadmap, specifically focusing on initiatives to build a generic
framework for data delivery and migrating legacy systems. Ensure
high engineering quality, reliability, and low latency for critical
user journeys. Work closely with leads in other locations and
partner with teams across Home Infrastructure to deliver joint
offerings and integrated features.
