Under direction of the Principal Investigator and/or Project
Manager, the research assistant will be responsible for project
enrollment coordination, project/policy administration and data
management for one or more healthcare or health policy research
projects. Will be responsible for recruiting participants,
obtaining informed consent, overseeing intervention implementation,
data collection, and data management. Will preparing IRB
applications, modifications and renewals. Research assistant will
also find and use secondary sources to analyze health and health
$20.64 - $42.29/HR.
No. of Positions
Contract, 1 year with the possibility of extension or conversion to
career based on funding.
Percentage of Time
Monday Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to
off-site locations. Variable schedule, including occasional
weekends and holidays.

-Experience working with patients with health issues, especially
with those who experience particularly sensitive conditions or
situations (i.e., depression, sexual health, low literacy,
-Effective interpersonal interviewing skills to ask personal,
sensitive, and emotionally-charged questions while maintaining your
role as a researcher.
-Research experience, particularly protecting confidential
information and/or Personal Health Information (PHI), handling
research files, familiarity with survey data collection, and
maintaining fidelity of data.
-Excellent analytic and writing skills for drafting reports,
briefs, PowerPoint presentations.
-Experience using organizational skills to monitor and track
enrollment of research subjects, enter data consistently and
accurately, maintain records/files/, coordinate work assignments,
schedules, and deadlines.
-Experience with research administration including preparing IRB
applications and renewals.
-Experience with qualitative research methods
-Experience with online survey tools such as Qualtrics
-Proficiency in language other than English
