Position description

The Department of Chicana/o/x Studies at the University of California at Davis welcomes applications for part-time lecturer positions in the 2024-2025 academic year. Actual appointment percentage is based on course enrollment and number of courses assigned. Courses to be offered include, but are not limited to, the following (please see https://catalog.ucdavis.edu/courses-subject-code/chi/ for course descriptions):

Fall quarter (Sept 23 - Dec 13, 2024)

CHI 112: Globalization, Transnational Migration, & Chicana/o & Latina/o Communities

Winter quarter (Jan 3 - Mar 21, 2025)

CHI 30: United States Political Institutions & Chicanas/os

CHI 111: Chicanas/Mexicanas in Contemporary Society

CHI 181: Chicanas & Latinas in the U.S.: Historical Perspectives

Spring quarter (Mar 27 - Jun 12, 2025)

CHI 150: The Chicana & Chicano Movement

An M.A. degree in the field or related fields and previous experience teaching at the college/university level are required; a Ph.D. is preferred.

Ph.D. in Chicana/o Studies or related field is preferred.
