Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Residential
Contracts , the Residential Contract Coordinator is responsible for
contracting student apartment or residence hall spaces including
activities associated with processing applications, maintaining
wait lists, allocating space, assignments, room transfers, meal
plan changes, billing, and eligibility for over 10,000 student
housing contracts. Provide high level of customer service to
students, parents, administrators, and others regarding all aspects
of student's accounts, the application and contract process. Acts
as a backup for apartment contracts. Coordinates in-person, email,
and phone communication, oversees front office Student Assistants
2, and provides daily contracting office support. Apply By Date -

Experience establishing goals and
workload priorities, handling multiple tasks and complex projects
simultaneously with conflicting priorities and meeting deadlines,
and flexibility in dealing with people and competing
demands.Experience exercising independent judgment and personal
initiative to analyze and solve problems and develop solutions for
resolution and implementation.Experience in maintaining
confidentiality of sensitive issues/matters, to handle difficult
situations diplomatically, and to work effectively and sensitively
with constituents from diverse backgrounds and
perspectives.Knowledge and experience with principles and processes
for providing customer service.Writing skills to prepare a variety
of correspondence, reports, policies and procedures, agreements,
and training documents.Computer skills to utilize various software
programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database
management systems for report development, data analysis, and
correspondence.Interpersonal communication skills to clearly and
effectively interact with individuals of varying backgrounds and
perspectives to research and secure information to resolve
problems. Skills to lead discussions, engage in public speaking,
and with students, parents and staff.Preferred Qualifications
Experience using UC Davis financial,
student information systems (Kuali and Banner) and Student Housing
management systems (StarRez).Organization skills to work
effectively, achieve timely progress on multiple simultaneous
projects, distribute effort among projects, and meet
deadlines.Knowledge of the principles and practices of office
management, apartment management , and student housing
services.Knowledge of fundamental business management and
accounting principles and standards of practice to make effective
judgments. Critical thinking and applied problem-solving skills
both interpersonal and analytical.Key Responsibilities

OverviewStudent Housing and Dining Services (SHDS) is a
self-supporting auxiliary that provides housing and dining services
to approximately 15,000 undergraduate, graduate, and students with
families who live in on-campus residential facilities (university
owner/managed and Public-Private-Partnerships), as well as
providing residential, retail and catering dining services for the
