Job SummaryBiotechnology has a central role in transforming the
chemical industry from being petrol-based to bio-based. At IFF, we
have a long history of developing microbial cell factories that
produce enzymes at scale for a wide range of applications, from
more sustainable fuels and foods to low temperature dish and wash
detergents. We are seeking a passionate Scientist to join our Grain
Research Applications team. If you are ready to make a significant

The successful candidate should demonstrate competency in
bio-chemistry, bio/chemical engineering or adjacent fields, using
expertise to develop value-creating solutions for project teams and
stakeholders.Your key responsibilities:
- Investigate the effects of enzymes and yeast for the production
of biofuels, animal feed and various food ingredients.
- Utilize Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Fermentation
knowledge to develop an understanding of customer processes and to
build model systems in the lab to evaluate enzyme and yeast
technologies.
- Hands-on laboratory work to design, execute and present
experimental plans and results.
- Generate technical data and provide bioanalytical and
applications support for research projects and customers, with an
emphasis on product development.
- Support transfer of new products and processes to our internal
manufacturing plants, as well as to our customers.
- Utilize advanced digital tools to analyze both lab-generated
and customer process datasets.
- Work in an international and multidisciplinary environment to
advance project and business goals.Your qualification profile:
- B.S. and/or MS in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry,
Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related
degrees
- 2+ years of relevant lab experience in an academic, food or
biotech setting
- Experience with bio-analytical equipment and biochemical
assays
- Knowledge of proper and efficient experimental design and data
analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the
desire and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team are also
required
- The successful candidate must be motivated, creative, have
strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, with an
understanding of product development
- Job requires some travel (up to 15%)
- Title and compensation will be commensurate with
qualificationsCompensation $73,000 - $109,000 is based on a variety
of factors including but not limited to work experience, skills,

Ranges:$63,700.00 - $118,300.00
